"Cherokee Street: A Collaboratory for Edible Ideas
Screenprint on tortillas, edible ink, zine
Collaborative Project for 2011 SGCI Conference: Equilibrium
In collaboration with Eric Woods (Firecracker Press) and Carlos Dominguez (Latino Americana)”
"The first 200 individuals to order the "Printmaker’s Special" (three tacos for $2.00) received a zine. The zine contained interviews with residents and business owners of Cherokee Street, postcards, stickers, and other Cherokee Street inspired texts."
"Eric Woods of Firecracker Press letterpress printed excerpts of the interviews onto tissue paper with food-safe inks. It was an exciting way to see their words come together with the images we designed and printed on the tacos."
"The first hungry customers arrived at 5:00 pm, and we continued printing until 11:00 pm. During that 6 hour period, we printed 1,500 tortillas and sold 500 Printmaker’s Specials!"

  9. I’ve learned a lot from this trip to Alaska and found a new love for eagles! I was amused just watching them fly around and feasting on fish carcasses. I took probably over 500 photos for fun and here are some of the results :) Unfortunately I didn’t have the best lens, but it was good enough!

    Enjoy!

I’ll be updating with more absolutely beautiful scenery! :)

I regret not having a wide angle lens to capture how wonderful it was! Enjoy these though.
